Description

Cost effective, lightweight (3 lbs), portable, easy to operate and travel with, requires no assembly, noweights, cables or ropes to set-up. Free standing framewith attached components makes Posture Pump® user friendly. Dual action strap designed especially for patientswho sufferwith TMJ - does NOT aggravate temporomandibular joint.  May be used in-office or at home and is applied while in a supine position on any flat surface. With neck centered over air cell, patient applies head restraint and inflates air cell by squeezing hand bulb to individual comfort level. Pressure is easily adjusted or eliminated by pressing release button. Automatic safety valve limits inflation at proven therapeutic level.

Model 1000 employs Expanding Ellipsoidal Decompression® (EED®) through an expanding air cell which delivers up to 32 lbs of multi-vectored tractional force. Additional alternative tractional force vectors are attained by simply repositioning the unit above or below the mid-cervical region. For example, the lowest level directly affects the cervical-thoraco junction. IRB Approved MRI Studies* have concluded that during EED® via Posture Pump® high level joint separation at the posterior, center and anterior aspect of the disc is achieved by expansion of an elliptical air cell into the cervical lordotic concavity. As EED ® occurs; bulging discmaterial is drawn toward the nucleus pulposus and away from the spinal cord. This unique action aligns joints in a curved configuration while increasing disc height in a ratio corresponding to the disc's natural wedged shape. This is a vast improvement over common linear traction where the cervical spine's natural curved shape is forcefully removed. Continuous expansion and contraction of the air cell is employed to create alternating hydration and milking of the intervertebral discs. Longer expansion periods are employed for cervical curve restoration.
