Custom Hip-Thigh

The Hip-Thigh Orthosis is designed to treat/correct hip flexion contractures, hip abduction contractures, and hip rotation. The innovative design offers bilateral hinges at the hips allowing static progressive positioning. The scissor jack style hip abduction mechanism allows for progressive gain in abduction. The system is appropriate for use in a wheelchair, geri-chair, or in bed. Hip hinge is available in either the OmniFlex 15° extension and flexion stop, or the ROM 10°  flexion stop. • Available in navy soft moisture wicking fabric with fleece lined inner thigh. • Laundry bag is included. Custom Hip-Thigh is made to patient measurements. Measurements must include pelvic band circumference, thigh circumference (right and left) and length (right and left). For pelvic band, measure circumference at greater trochanter. For abductor, measure circumference of thighs 4” above the center point of the knee. For custom sizing measure: • Circumference around the greater trochanter. • Circumference of the thigh 6” above the center of the knee. • Trochanter to knee crease and subtract 4.”
