The source of most low back pain can often be traced to the lumbosacral joint formed by the articulation of the fifth lumbar vertebrae and the sacrum.  As the last movable joint in the spine, the lumbosacral joint bears greater weight and stress, and therefore has greater risk of strain or injury.  Lumbosacral supports are the most common support garments used to relieve low back pain.  They are effective in the treatment of arthritis, herniated discs, minor fractures, lordosis, spondylolisthesis, and protruding abdomen.
