ALPS EasySleeve Super Stretch Suspension Sleeve (SLE)

The ALPS EasySleeve Super Stretch is a gel suction suspension sleeve without an integrated fabric cover, and it is durable, comfortable, and still able to provide strength through suction suspension. Made out of ALPS EasyGel (the same proprietary gel used in the ALPS EasyLiner products) that combines elasticity, strength, and softness, this gel sleeve is able to provide superior comfort to lower leg BK amputees. The SLE allows for complete freedom of motion throughout the entire range of knee joint flexing movement, while being more resistant to tears that occur at the prosthetic socket trimline area of a BK prosthesis than other BK suspension sleeves we offer.

The ALPS EasySleeve Super Stretch Suspension Sleeve is able to achieve a secure suction suspension of the prosthetic by vacuum sealing with the skin without restricting the wearer's blood circulation, while also relieving the skin of shear forces via the lower coefficient of friction of its EasyGel material. This gel suction suspension sleeve can also act as an alternative to using pin prosthesis suspension, or be used to add security to a pin prosthesis suspension, without any loss in comfort.

When the ALPS EasySleeve Super Stretch is combined with a Spandex Cover, sold separately, its EasyGel material is able to better move with the user, reducing the forces of walking against the patella (knee cap) and allowing the bulk of the suspension sleeve to be displaced away from the popliteal area (knee pit/back of the knee). This cover can also help keep clothes and dirt away from the gel sleeve.

NOTE: The separate Spandex Cover Accessory is not available for the XX-Small and Medium Plus sizes of this product.
